Excursion to the dm drogerie markt central warehouse in Senec
The 33,458 m² dm drogerie markt central warehouse was opened in 2022. It is located in the Prologis logistics park in Senec. The new warehouse has almost twice as much storage space as the old central warehouse in Senec. The advantage of the logistics park in Senec is its excellent strategic location in the immediate vicinity of the most important transport artery of the Slovak Republic – the D1 motorway, thus enabling it to conveniently supply goods to the ever-increasing number of branches throughout the country.
The new central warehouse is a large single-storey hall, which is designed for storage and handling of goods. The warehouse space is furnished with a modern racking system, which is suitably chosen to ensure efficient flow of goods in the warehouse. A new feature in the warehouse is a new conveyor belt and automatic pallet packer, which facilitates manual work while increasing efficiency. In addition, 4 other semi-automatic packaging machines are used to pack goods into pallets for distribution to individual branches. A new charging station with a capacity of 125 trolleys ensures smooth operation of the warehouse automation technology. Up to 65 ramps are available for loading and unloading goods.
There is a monitoring and camera system throughout the warehouse for the protection of people and the building, connected to the security service. A new feature in the warehouse is a new automatic pallet packer, which makes manual work easier and at the same time increases performance.
