Panel discussion: transformation of work – automation, digitalization and robotization of warehouses
In the dynamic world of logistics and supply chains, warehousing and development are becoming key success factors. Aspects that influence the future of warehousing and development are automation and robotics, IoT and sensors, cloud warehousing, or smart warehousing systems and cyber security. Under what conditions is it or is it not worth automating/robotizing? Is deploying sophisticated technology solutions better to rent or own? What influences the return on investment? At the heart of digital intralogistics are transmission networks and protocols. What are the biggest challenges associated with collecting, storing, processing and evaluating data? Preparing the halls is a fundamental prerequisite for the success of digitization and robotization. What prevents the placement of automated and robotic warehouse technology in old halls? What technical adaptations are needed in old halls? We will try to answer these questions in a panel discussion with representatives of companies that automate, those that offer automation, and developers who build industrial real estate.
