Miroslav Vajda graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava. After a year’s internship in the UK, he started his career in construction as an investment project manager. He later held the position of sales director and member of the strategic management at Velux for many years. He has been working for Jungheinrich since 2013. He has gradually participated in the company’s transformation projects in trade, rental, used equipment and digital marketing and e-commerce business development. He initiated strategic projects with the help of which Jungheinrich became the dominant supplier of handling equipment for the automotive segment in Slovakia and in a short time multiplied its sales.
In his work, he is particularly interested in modern technology and digital technologies, and he is a staunch supporter of the culture and values of leadership and sustainability in business. Long-term business strategies and their implementation into daily life are an important part of his professional focus. He owes his success to his philosophy of foresight, his ability to anticipate the impact of trends, and getting things done. He has been using information technology for over 35 years and has not used any paper for 15 years. At the same time, he lives in an ecological, passive family house. In his spare time, he specializes in sport climbing, skiing and activities in alpine environments.
