Martin Spano is a Slovak computer scientist, software developer, futurist, writer, digital nomad popularizer of computer science, programming and artificial intelligence.
For his work, the Ministry of Economy nominated him for the highest scientific award “Science and Technology Award”. His book “The Artificial Intelligence in a Nutshell” became a bestseller on Amazon USA in the artificial intelligence and cybernetics sections.
He works as a software engineer in a company specialized in intelligent communications. He studied computer science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University. He is a member of the Association for the Development of Artificial Intelligence and the European AI Alliance.
Spano was behind the idea of Zlatica Puškárová’s deepfake video, with which the telecommunications company O2 launched a campaign against misinformation in May 2021. He continues to produce entertaining deepfake videos with Slovak hockey players at irregular intervals, especially on the occasion of a sporting success of a Slovak athlete or athletes. The most frequent person in his videos is the rising star of Slovak hockey, Juraj Slafkovský.
