Automation of the IKEA Components Malacky Dispatch Warehouse
This case study presents the automation of the existing IKEA Components warehouse in Malacky, implemented without interrupting its day-to-day operations. The MECALUX solution combines three-sided stacker cranes, automated pallet conveyors, and the Easy WMS warehouse management system. Implementation was carried out in four stages, with minimal impact on warehouse capacity. The Easy M simulation software made it possible to verify the layout, material flows, and required performance levels before implementation. The automated solution connects production, storage, and dispatch operations and contributes significantly to a 99% order fulfillment success rate for IKEA Components, both in terms of quantity and delivery deadlines.
