Petr Smíšek is the Director of the Distribution Centre at K&V Elektro and an example of a manager who has built his career literally from a warehouse operative position to leading a modern logistics centre. During more than 20 years with the company, he has held a range of logistics positions, progressing from warehouse operative to managing individual departments and ultimately becoming Head of the Central Warehouse. Under his leadership, the company’s logistics operations underwent a major transformation. What was originally a 2,500 m² warehouse supported by several external storage facilities has grown into a modern 10,000 m² logistics centre in Nehvizdy, to which the company relocated in 2021. The project also included the establishment of a new parcel services department, the centralisation of warehouse operations, and the implementation of a robotic warehouse system. This transformation has increased operational efficiency, streamlined logistics processes, and completely eliminated the need for external storage facilities.
