Ján Biznár is a graduate of the University of Žilina – Faculty of Transport and Communications Economics, Department of Railway Transport Operations and Economics. After a brief stint at Dopravný podnik Bratislava (Bratislava Transport Company), he has spent his entire professional life working in the railway industry. First, he worked for Železnice Slovenskej republiky (Slovak Railways) in the area of operations management, and since 2005, he has been working for the private railway company LTE, where he has held the position of Director for Slovakia and the Czech Republic since 2008. Born at a railway station, he has been a lifelong railwayman and advocate for efficient and sustainable transport. He is vice president of the Association of Industrial Unions and Transport. He focuses on transport policy issues, including their impact on the social and economic life of the country.
