MASTER DC MADUNICE – expanded distribution center HOPI SK
The newly expanded distribution center, covering an area of almost 12,000 m², was created in response to growing demands for efficient logistics and sustainability in supply chains. Both METRO, which will use the hall, and HOPI SK itself place emphasis on optimizing transport, more efficient distribution of goods to all METRO wholesale outlets in Slovakia, and minimizing environmental impact. This investment will streamline supply chains, reducing logistics costs, shortening delivery times to stores, and reducing CO₂ emissions associated with the transport of goods. Recycled construction waste was used in the construction of the complex – for example, material from demolished garages and parking lots was used as ballast in the construction of access roads. Following the successful completion of the first phase, HOPI SK is ready to continue with the next stages of construction. The total planned area of the logistics complex in Madunice will reach 45,000 m², which will enable even greater capacity and cover the growing needs of the market. The opening of the new warehouse creates a unique distribution center in the Lower Považie region, providing services under the so-called One Roof Concept – everything under one roof. It offers customers storage, transport, and value-added services (VAS) in all temperature ranges – from -22 °C to ambient. Everything is located in one place – at a strategically advantageous address near the D1 motorway, with excellent access to the central warehouses of the largest retail players on the Slovak market.
