Plzeňský Prazdroj’s journey towards logistics automation
In this exclusive keynote presentation, David Udal, the supply chain director of the Czech and Slovak branches of Plzeňský Prazdroj, will acquaint us with several supply-chain automation projects that the company has implemented in recent years. Among these are the Control Tower and mobile Direct Store Delivery (mDSD) solutions (thanks to which it can monitor the status of deliveries in real time and simultaneously speed up and simplify the work of drivers), the automated mixing of goods on pallets, the implementation of Automated Guided Vehicles in the Radegast brewery and the current opening of a fully automatic warehouse in the Plzeň facility. He will discuss the challenges that this traditional company faced on the road to modern logistics solutions. Finally, we will hear the unique perspective of a former finance director now in charge of supply chain on the balance between investment and cost savings in a time of rising costs and stagnating sales.
