Panel discussion: Automotive, permanent transformation and logistics
It has long been reported in the media that the automotive industry is at a crossroads, and everyone talks about electric vehicles. In the automotive industry, however, the way forward has long been decided. At least in Europe, electromobility with the use of accumulators prevailed. However, according to some, the path will not be definitive. There are so-called smart fuels that would enable carbon-neutral operation of internal combustion engines. Hydrogen and fuel cells represent the next path. And these challenges only affect the technology and type of drives or fuel. However, there are other uncertainties related to future car sales, people’s lifestyles, autonomous driving and robotic vehicles, regulatory requirements, supply chain stability, production costs, availability of energy and key raw materials, or competition from other markets.
